How long does it take to complete the Salem Passport Quest?

It takes between 3-5 days of exploring to complete the 20 quests and sidequests.

What if I'm Not Satisfied with My Purchase?

We want every quester to love their adventure! If something isn’t right, reach out within 14 days of receiving your book, and we’ll make it right through a replacement or refund. You can email salempassportquest@gmail.com for a refund.

Do I have to pay to get into the Passport locations even if I have the Passport Book?

18 out of the 20 locations are free entry.

If a Passport location has a cost of entry, you will need to pay the entrance fee.

What’s the difference between a Quest and a Sidequest?

Both give you clue answers and are part of the larger mission of the scavenger hunt.

Quest locations also offer Passport stamping!

Who is the scavenger hunt designed for?

Anyone who likes scavenger hunts or exploration, including kids and adults.

Is there a prize for completing the entire quest?

Yes....details to come on this later

Is the Salem Passport Quest illustrated or written with GenAI/ChatGPT?

No. Local illustrator Ashlee Beadle hand drew the illustrations and I (Amanda Bondi) wrote content. AI tools were only used to copyedit.

Are all the Quests and Sidequests walking distance from downtown?

Yes. The furthest Quest from downtown is Winter Island, which is a 30 minute walk, but worth it!

When does the Salem Passport Quest start and when does end?

It starts on September 23rd 2025 and will continue indefinitely! It is not seasonal.

Which locations are stamping Passports?

10 locations in Salem are stamping Passport Books; museums, shops, arcades, and cafes are examples of participating locations!
